CHARACTER: CANON SECTION
NAME: Noriaki Kakyoin.
AGE: 17.
CANON: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
NAME: Noriaki Kakyoin.
AGE: 17.
CANON: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
CANON HISTORY: Here.
CANON PERSONALITY: Noriaki is introduced, at first, as a villain seeking to kill the protagonist — Jotaro Kujo. It's revealed upon Jotaro's victory and removal of Dio's influence on Noriaki, however, that the fleshbud implanted in his brain was bringing out dark feelings and thoughts he didn't truly believe. The one thing he carried over from his time as Dio's underling was his conviction; he has strong thoughts and opinions and morals, and even a sense of duty. This sense of duty is why he went with Jotaro, his grandfather Joseph, and their friend Abdul to Egypt to kill Dio — he felt as if he had to right his own wrongs, as well as protect Jotaro's mother Holly, who was being made sick through Dio's curse. He also notes a sense of debt to Jotaro, since he saved Noriaki's life from Dio's ability, which would have eventually destroyed his brain. Throughout his time with them, he's at once bold, brave, and righteous in his actions in the name of retribution and protecting Holly.
Submitting to Dio's will was a matter of friendship for Noriaki; he was lured in easily, as Dio asked him to be his friend, something that Noriaki had never really known. When he was growing up he only had his Stand, Hierophant Green, for companionship. Yet he was an observant child, taking notice of other kids his age making friends and exchanging numbers, and at this he was left alone. He even noticed that his parents had one another; they came to his teachers about it, and yet he grew up without never having known companionship — until he met the Joestar group; Jotaro, Joseph, Abdul, Polnareff, and Iggy. As they were all fellow stand users, he felt as if they were the only people he could properly become friends with — and so he did, becoming particularly close with Jotaro, as they were the same age. He also became close with Polnareff, though their relationship might have seemed a bit odd to some, as Noriaki would be a bit harsh with him, going so far as to elbow him in the name of reconciliation.
Noriaki carries with him a strong sense of right and wrong, rivaled only by his pride. These morals were what led him to seek retribution through assisting on the quest to kill Dio — if he didn't come with the Joestar group, then he would have been left embarrassed and ashamed, as he felt horrible for succumbing to Dio's influence. They show themselves in his fights — when he declared boldly to an enemy he'd kill them for killing Polnareff's sister and Abdul, or when he refused to fight a small child with a Stand ability. Even though he's righteous in his fights, he's not above insulting his enemies, as with the Tower of Grey.
He's also quite worldly, spouting off facts about etiquette in Chinese restaurants, or knowledge about how street food is served in foreign countries when with the Joestar group. Despite this worldliness, bordering on know-it-all-honor-student, he's quite polite.
He is known to have something akin to a softer side, however, shown in quieter moments when the Joestar group was planning to leave for Cairo; he said that Holly was absolutely a woman he could have fallen in love with. She's soft and sweet and kind, and was able to ease the hearts and troubles of those around her. This is part of the reason he went to Cairo with the Joestar group. This softer side is afforded mostly to his comrades, although more often that not he takes a sort of "tough love" approach to dealing with them. Even so, he's willing to sacrifice himself or go beyond his own limits in the name of his friends and their mission to defeat Dio. Once attacked with Dio's Stand ability, he spent his final moments wondering exactly how that ability worked, and once it was figured out, he exhausted the last bit of his ability to send a message to Joseph.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Noriaki possesses the ability of a Stand, which is his energy made manifest. His Stand is called Hierophant Green, appearing as a humanoid. It's able to fire an attack of hard projectiles, called Emerald Splash. The Stand's tail is quite long as well, and he often has it create a sort of weaved web around his enemies that can fire his Emerald Splash from all directions — this is called a 20m Radius Emerald Splash. In addition to this, he's also shown as being able to possess someone, though it's not shown often. He uses the ability in his debut, taking over the body of a school nurse and having her attack some students.
CHARACTER: AU SECTION
AU NAME: Tenmei Kakyoin.
AU AGE: 19
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: No scars over his eyes; eye color is now a soft blue instead of purple.
In high school, he made one friend. Dio Brando — then a junior when he was a freshman — was also an honor student and generally as ambitious as Tenmei ( I have Dio's mun's permission for this! ). They met after seeing one another around school a lot, and upon Dio's noticing he often sat alone during lunch and was picked last in P.E. class, they struck up a friendship. They hit it off immediately, and it was then that Tenmei started smiling a little more. Now graduated from high school, he's taking a gap year at the behest of his parents, who say that he's worked hard enough in school and should experience the real world just a little before college. He works at the arcade and absolutely loves it, though he still lives with his parents in Aprassage. He's met a couple people through it, though his social skills are still a bit lacking. He's learning.
AU NAME: Tenmei Kakyoin.
AU AGE: 19
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: No scars over his eyes; eye color is now a soft blue instead of purple.
AU HISTORY: Tenmei hails from Tokyo, Japan, and was raised there until he was around thirteen years old. While he was growing up there, he was an only child and rather lonely. Children in his class tended to have no problems making friends; Tenmei was left bereft and wanting. If there were particular reasons why he had trouble making and keeping friends, he could only speculate in fits of occasional self-loathing — was he too snobby, too bookish, too quiet, too serious? He never wanted to know; the truth might have hurt too much. Tenmei sought to occupy himself through books, studies, and video games when he had the downtime.
Since he was about five, his parents — both wealthy doctors — took him on vacations every summer to tourist hubs all over the world, and upon coming to Recolle, they immediately loved it so much that they decided they just had to move there as soon as possible. So they did; the end year of middle school came and went, and it was a bit of a strange time, acclimating to the new customs and culture. He thrived best in the city, however, and found Recolle to be welcoming and charming both.

AU PERSONALITY: Tenmei, namely, can be seen joking and laughing a lot easier than Noriaki. He's much less uptight and haughty, though his sense of humor is a bit dry and often grim. This is because the fight for Holly's life never happened, and he learned true friendship through Dio. He's a bit more outgoing as well, though sometimes he does need his alone time and prefers the company of books and video games to people.
Though he can sometimes clash with people, those he deems close or "worthy" are those he would do most anything for. He's incredibly dedicated to his family and friends, possibly to a fault, often playing therapist when he shouldn't, or acting a little self-sacrificing. He's not terribly different from his past life self, just being able to boast a personality a little more extroverted.
Tenmei's shift at the arcade from lunch until the end seems to drag on and on. Kid after kid just coming up to him to check in their tickets, though he doesn't mind. It's simply that he has plans with friends after his shift, plans they have been vague on and plans he's been looking forward to for just as long as they'd been told to him. Be ready on Friday after your shift, is all Dio said.
So anticipation fills him, piloting him in jerky steps and short answers, glances to the door. Once the time finally comes that he can leave, he does so as quickly as he can. The week had been stressful at work, what with a wave of kids-fresh-out-of-school-for-summer attacking the place. It was to be expected and he could certainly acclimate, but it's still a lot to take care of.
He locks the place up, shoves the keys into his pockets, and goes to meet Dio.
On his way, someone asks him, nearly shy and certainly quiet — "Brother, can I bum a smoke?"
"Oh. Sure," he tells them, and pulls out the pack to share one. He takes the time to light one up himself, now that he's thinking about it. They take their drags in silence for just a bit.
"Thank you so much, man, you have no idea what this means to me." they say, and they incline their head in genuine thanks.
Their clothes are shabby and cheap; Kakyoin nods, "Of course. Take care, all right? It's hot out."
"You take care too, brother." they tell him, clapping him lightly on the shoulder.
The interaction was calm and cool and might have, just maybe, set a tone for the night — chill and kind. Though with Dio calling the shots, he can only imagine.
